When Debbie McFarland and her husband, Kevin purchased a tired 1930s farmhouse nestled in the Georgia countryside, this creative couple had one thing in mind: transformation. What they didn't expect was just how much work—and how much joy—the process would bring.

"We completely gutted the farmhouse," Debbie recalls. "Everything had to go. Flooring, light fixtures, electrical outlets—right down to the subfloor, which was rotted. There was mold, termite damage, and even a sunken bathtub in the master bathroom. We discovered the house had a sliding glass door upstairs that led to... nothing. No porch. Just air." And that was just the beginning.
