The Best Archaeopteryx Yet
Rock&Gem Magazine
|October 2025
Archaeopteryx has been an icon in the world of paleontology ever since the first one was uncovered in 1861.
Called the “Urvogel” by the Germans who discovered it in Solnhofen, Bavaria, this Jurassic fossil was instantly considered the missing link between non-avian dinosaurs and avian dinosaurs, AKA birds. Remarkably, given its fame, only 13 specimens have been described in all the years since.
यह कहानी Rock&Gem Magazine के October 2025 संस्करण से ली गई है।
