PCI asks Councils to issue certificates to passed-out D Pharm

THE Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has asked the State Pharmacy Councils to issue registration certificates to the diploma in pharmacy students who were admitted in 2022-23 and passed out, till the exit exam is conducted.

The Council, in its circular on August 7, said, "All State Pharmacy Councils are hereby requested to issue registered certificate to the passed-out students of 2022-23 admitted batch till the exit exam conducted as per the prescribed conditions u/s 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948."
According to the Section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, a person shall on payment of the prescribed fee be entitled to have his name entered on the register if he has attained the age of 18 years, if he resides, or carries on the business or profession of pharmacy, in the state and if he has passed an approved examination or possesses a qualification approved under Section 14 (or is a registered pharmacist of another state).
