Bühler Innovations: Enriching the Indian Palette with State-of-the-Art Technologies

ANUGA FOODTEC-2025 witnessed a congregation of industries from across the food processing domain, be it processing, packaging, ingredients, logistics, or machinery. On the last day of the three-day mega event, we interacted with Mr. Amit Kher, GM - Head of Sales & Technology (Foods Business) at Bühler India. During the interview, Manas Nandi, Editor-In-Chief of Food Infotech Magazine for Food Processing, enquired about innovations, sustainability, and new developments across different segments of Bühler's product portfolio.

What was Bühler's experience at ANUGA FoodTec 2025?

Bühler had a successful experience at ANUGA FoodTec 2025, and a large number of our customers have visited us, including old and new customers. While the first day faced challenges due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai, the event saw strong footfall over the next two days.

'Sustainable Means of Consumption and Production is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).' How does Bühler inculcate Sustainability in its Production Lines?

Bühler focuses on sustainability in its in-house production line and is also enabling its customers to focus on sustainable production lines. Customer production lines need to be running efficiently and sustainably, as they are the ones consistently producing end products. A few of the key things we do include Energy Audits and Process Improvements - to ensure the existing lines function more effectively and efficiently, producing optimally. Efficient production lines also improve productivity and quality consistency, in line with Bühler's vision of sustainability, which aims to reduce 50% of waste, water, and energy consumption in the entire value chain of customers.

The government of India has been consistently aiding the food processing industry with the help of different schemes.' How have these schemes impacted the food processing industry?
