Rising prices affecting wine drinking habits

A survey of fine wine lovers by private members' club 67 Pall Mall has highlighted concerns about climate change and rising prices, as well as broadening tastes.
More than half of respondents to a survey of the 3,800 members of its London club (pictured, right) said rising prices have affected their drinking in recent years, leading them to switch wines or purchase fewer bottles. Climate change was the most commonly cited concern for the future, though – notably its potential impact on signature styles in classic regions, like Bordeaux or Piedmont.
