In an exclusive conversation with AOJ at the Platinum Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) 2025, Vaishali Banerjee – Head of Global Market Development & Managing Director, India & Middle East, Platinum Guild International – speaks with Kshitija Kolhapure about the latest innovations and offerings in platinum jewellery unveiled at the event, and the encouraging response from participating retailers.

On the sidelines, she also delves into the platinum price advantage and shares her outlook on enhancing the category’s value proposition and attracting greater capital inflows.

What was your overall experience at AOJ BSM and share some feedback from the manufacturers and retailers?

Vaishali Banerjee: We saw a strong start to BSM, with an encouraging response on both days. Over 55 major retailers participated – representing the largest and most influential segment of the market, and the very partners we actively work with. For us, it's critical that this community remains focused on the platinum category, across key branded categories like Platinum Love Bands, Platinum Evara, and Men of Platinum – where we've just extended the MS Dhoni Signature Edition.
