The brains behind the ‘Golden Ratio’ eyebrow shaping method and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills opens up about her brow journey and the brand’s biggest launch of the year in India

It was the late 90s when Romania-born Anastasia Soare invented the 'Golden Ratio' eyebrow shaping method — a technique that forever changed the way we look at brows. But she didn't just stop there. In 1997, Soare created Anastasia Beverly Hills, a beauty label that were one of the firsts to create brow products and focus on thick, bold, and arched eyebrows that went against the trend of that time.
Over decades, the brand created a name for itself in the market for always being ahead of the curve. Recently, it dropped the Impeccable Blurring Second-Skin Matte Foundation — one of their best releases of the year — along with a setting spray. We sat down with Soare to discuss more about the new launch and their future plans.
GRAZIA: What made you take that first leap from working in a salon to starting your brow business?
Anastasia Soare: The turning point for me was when I realised that the owner of the salon didn’t see eyebrow shaping as a legitimate service. I was passionate about the idea that well-shaped eyebrows are crucial for achieving balance and proportion in the face. I knew that this was an essential aspect of beauty that deserved recognition and focus.
