DEREK LAM IS BACK

The beloved New York designer Derek Lam has a new project: He is now the creative director of Câllas Milano, a four-year-old Italian brand rooted in luxurious wardrobe staples. His intimate salon-style presentation at New York Fashion Week was a hit, with tailored pieces like double-layered chiffon pants and the wrap shirtdress shown here. ART STAR

Fondazione Prada's Milan HQ is playing host to a retrospective on Italian artist Pino Pascali. A member of the Arte Povera movement, Pascali died at only 32, but left behind a robust body of work that has gone on to inspire countless contemporary artists. Through September 23; fondazioneprada.org.
