Bernie's attempt to help Asha backfires

Our hearts have been breaking for Asha since her awful experience with a patient who racially abused her.

The trainee paramedic has kept the incident to herself, but her loved ones know something is up and start to seriously worry this week – though when stepmother Bernie sticks her beak in, she makes things worse.

Dev's distress for his daughter grows as Asha continues to lock herself away in her bedroom. She's been there almost as long as Tracy was back in the 80s!

Asha is missing twin brother Aadi, who left Weatherfield recently to start a new life in India, but perceptive Bernie reckons there's more to it.
