THE GAME NEW MONDAY-THURSDAY, 9PM, 5 DRAMA

Robson Green and Jason Watkins are no strangers to playing adversaries. 'We worked together on the third series of BBC3's [supernatural comedy drama] Being Human in 2011, in which I played werewolf Anthony McNair and Jason was vampire leader William Herrick,' recalls Grantchester favourite Robson.

'I actually found one of my vampire teeth yesterday,' chimes in McDonald & Dodds star Jason. 'I had two but I don't know what happened to the other one!'

This previous collaboration – as well as crossing paths as Army officers on the same side in a 1991 episode of Robson's hit ITV drama Soldier Soldier - means the acclaimed actors are perfectly at ease squaring up to each other again in 5's latest psychological drama, The Game.

'Tom Grieves, who wrote the script, was part of the Being Human team,' says Robson. 'So this is like a full-circle moment.'

The four-parter sees Jason as Huw Miller, an ex-cop haunted by the unsolved case of a stalker who taunted his town, toying with his victims before killing them.

But when enigmatic Patrick Harbottle (Robson) moves into his street and casually utters the perpetrator's chilling taunt, 'Catch you later,' has Huw finally got his man?

Here, Robson and Jason talk TV Times through the cat-and-mouse chase...

So, Jason, where do we find Huw at the start of the story?
