What to expect from a fresh adventure for Sherlock Holmes' sleuthing sibling

ENOLA HOLMES 3 NEW FROM WED 1 JULY, NETFLIX DRAMA

Intrepid Victorian detective Enola Holmes has more than lived up to her family’s reputation for cracking cryptic crimes. Now, having already unravelled two twisty cases, the savvy sleuth (played by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown) returns in new feature-length adventure Enola Holmes 3, in which the game is afoot again when her older brother, fellow investigator Sherlock (Henry Cavill, Man of Steel), is kidnapped.

The drama, inspired by American author Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries novels and penned by Jack Thorne (Adolescence), begins in 1886 as Enola receives a surprise marriage proposal from her dashing beau, forward-thinking Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge, House of Guinness).

‘What has been nice is getting to explore a more mature version of their relationship,’ says Millie, 22. ‘It’s not just playful any more.’
