There's very little hope of a silent night in the new festive special of BBC1 crime drama Beyond Paradise – as DI Humphrey Goodman, DS Esther Williams, PC Kelby Hartford and office support Margo Martins are juggling three different cases! The morning after the staff Christmas party at a local wine bar, Humphrey (played by Kris Marshall) and Esther (Zahra Ahmadi) are called back to investigate when the venue is broken into and a week's takings is stolen, along with the contents of the charity collection jar. There's also a drunken reveller trapped inside his snowman costume and, most peculiar of all, a man with no memory (guest star Adrian Edmondson) is found outside
