A dedicated English teacher at a struggling secondary school experiences one of the most challenging days of her career in one-off drama Special Measures.

The final instalment in 5’s revival of the BBC’s classic Play for Today anthology, the tale stars Jessica Plummer (EastEnders, Missing You) as Amy Garrison, whose life is thrown into turmoil after the head of her department quits on the same day as a surprise Ofsted inspection.

Already unsettled by the results of a pregnancy test, Amy finds herself frantically taking on extra work and supporting her inexperienced colleagues as well as navigating a volatile situation with troubled pupil Callum Hughes (Adolescence’s Austin Haynes).
