Vince Vaughn and a host of ItalianAmerican stars cook up a storm when a grief-stricken entrepreneur opens a restaurant staffed by grandmas - or 'nonnas' - in a warm-hearted Netflix comedy.

The film is inspired by the true story of New Yorker Jody 'Joe' Scaravella, who quit his dead-end job to start an Italian restaurant on Staten Island after the death of his beloved mother. To honour her memory, he opens Enoteca Maria with money from his mother's inheritance and to make sure the food is authentic, he decides only to employ grandmothers in his kitchen.

'I really enjoyed the connection of food and family, explains Vaughn, 55.

'It's about the idea that love and culture are passed down through food and get-togethers, and that those gifts stay with us always.
