A high-society gathering takes a deadly turn in an Agatha Christie whodunnit

Guilty party

NEW DRAMA Towards Zero Sunday, 9pm, BBC1 (box set, BBC iPlayer)

A knotty thread of tortured romances and shady pasts results in a shocking murder in BBC1's lavish adaptation of Agatha Christie's 1944 novel Towards Zero.

The three-part drama is set in 1936, as indomitable Lady Camilla Tressilian, played by Hollywood star Anjelica Huston (see panel, right), hosts a summer house party at her home, Gull's Point, on the Devon coast.

But trouble is brewing for the visitors, including Lady Tressilian's tennis-ace nephew Nevile (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) and his seductive new bride Kay (Mimi Keene) – who are faced with the arrival of Nevile's ex-wife Audrey (Ella Lily Hyland).

'Nevile's a good sportsman with a drive to win and is the David Beckham of his time, but he has a complicated emotional life, says Jackson-Cohen, 38, whose credits include The Haunting of Hill House.
