Union Budget 2025: IESA Proposes Key Recommendations to Boost the Semiconductor Sector

The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), under the leadership of Ashok Chandak, has put forward a series of recommendations for the Union Budget 202526, aiming to strengthen India’s electronics and semiconductor sectors.

Central to their proposals is the expansion of the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, with an additional USD 20 billion allocated over the next five years. This extension builds on the current USD 10 billion allocation, addressing the critical growth stage of India’s semiconductor sector,
