Karuna Gehani's story begins in Mumbai, where the traditions of family, culture and community were woven into every festival, every Sunday lunch and every Sindhi aunt's advice.

Growing up abroad, she blended Indian roots with global experiences - a mix that shaped her sense of belonging in a world that's always moving. When she moved to London fourteen years ago, she found herself navigating connectivity in a very different way. The city was dynamic, cosmopolitan, and yet, the opportunities to meet likeminded Indian people felt surprisingly limited.

A Product Manager by day at a major global firm, Karuna began to notice a pattern among her peers - many young Indians abroad were asking the same question: "Why is it so hard for Indians abroad to connect beyond the surface?" She saw young Indian professionals in London craving more than a swipe: they wanted culture, identity, community, shared traditions, laughter, and real conversation.
