Royal showdown! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge clash over where to send Prince George to school

Set on 52 acres in the bucolic Berkshire countryside and featuring an orchard, sports pitches, a nine-hole golf course, Olympic-size pool and even rustic tire swings, the Lambrook School looks like an idyllic summer camp. "It's actually a very posh prep school that costs $30,000 a year," a source says of the institution, which Kate Middleton and Prince William "have visited multiple times recently. They're moving to Windsor soon, and it looks like they're planning to send all three of their kids there, starting in September."

But things aren't as simple as that. "While Kate wants George to commute to school every day, William wants him to board there," says the source. "Lambrook is a hybrid and offers both options. William went to boarding school himself Ludgrove School but Kate can't imagine shipping George off. He's only 9!" William, 40, feels so strongly about sending George to boarding school, he went behind Kate's back and even looked into Ludgrove and what they currently offer. When he admitted to Kate, 40, what he'd done, "she lost it," says the insider. "Now they're at war over what to do."
