THE STARS OF THE IRIS AFFAIR OPEN UP ABOUT LIVING THE SWEET LIFE WHILE FILMING IN ITALY

When it came to signing on for The Iris Affair, it was an easy decision for Tom Hollander and Niamh Algar. Not just because the thrilling new TV series about genius codebreaker Iris (Algar) and the man hunting her down, Cameron Beck (Hollander), had a fabulous script full of high-octane drama and stunts. It was because the project allowed the stars to head to Italy for a few months, as the production was filmed in Rome, Florence and Sardinia.

“I shot a very glamorous-looking show in Italy a few years ago that looked wonderful, but it rained the whole time and they had to CGI in the blue sky,” Hollander, 58, tells WHO over Zoom from London. “But this was wonderful.”

While Algar, 33, didn’t have as much time off as Hollander, she certainly made the most of it when she did.
