It is well known that Strictly Come Dancing has long kept the Queen spellbound. While she was the Duchess of Cornwall, Her Majesty visited the set on several occasions and also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes ballroom session with judge Craig Revel Horwood.

Now it seems the BBC's hit show has cha-chacharmed a new generation of royals after it emerged the Princess of Wales hot-footed it to the studios with her children Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, to enjoy a private tour ahead of Musicals Week.

Moreover, the lucky siblings even got the chance to follow in Craig's nifty footsteps and sit in the judges' chairs - lifting those all-powerful scoring paddles on a special performance by professional dancers Katya Jones and Neil Jones.
