Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor prepares to leave the Windsor Estate after the King removes his brother's titles, honours and long-term family home

The troubled story of the royal formerly known as Prince Andrew reached its perhaps inevitable conclusion in October, when the King announced that he was stripping his younger brother of his remaining titles and honours and forcing him to surrender his lease on Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Estate.

Now known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the 65-year-old will move out of the 30-room mansion he has called home for more than 20 years.

He will relocate to a property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk that is privately owned by the King, who will also provide the former Duke of York with an annual stipend.

PERSISTENT SPECULATION
