$70M divorce debate breaks down as couple makes kids take sides

BITTER Michelle Obama stormed out of secret divorce negotiations with hubby Barack after the ex-president demanded a greater slice of the troubled pair's $70 million fortune, sources say.

According to insiders, the former first couple is now gearing up for a nasty financial battle — and demanding that their two adult daughters choose sides in the epic family feud.

As GLOBE recently reported, insiders say Barack, 63, and Michelle, 61, had agreed to amicably divide their cash, investments and properties before announcing their split after the summer.

But insiders claim Michelle went ballistic over Barack suddenly wanting a stake in their Higher Ground production company during the fight to end all fights and has since ordered her attorneys to play hardball — even if it tarnishes her future ex-husband's good-guy legacy and permanently shatters his reputation as a devoted family man.

Sources also say the spouses locked horns in front of their kids — Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23 — who were stunned to be caught in the middle when their parents jockeyed for their loyalty.
