With automation rapidly reshaping India’s warehousing and logistics landscape, one thing is clear—you can't run tomorrow's systems in yesterday's spaces.

From AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) and conveyor-based sorting to AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), the sector is moving towards faster, tech-driven operations. But these systems can only perform as well as the infrastructure allows.

Automation demands more than just large warehouses—it needs smarter ones. Think higher ceilings to support vertical racking, wider column spacing for seamless AGV movement, and floors that can withstand constant, heavy loads without failing over time.

Even the layout of loading docks matters. Efficient loading and unloading setups—especially when integrated with conveyor belts or robotic systems—play a big role in how quickly goods can move in and out.
