16th Intex Bangladesh 2025: A Landmark Event for South Asia's Textile and Apparel Industry

The 16th edition of Intex Bangladesh, held from 25 to 27 June 2025 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, concluded on a high note, affirming its pivotal role as South Asia's premier international textile sourcing platform. The event showcased the dynamism and evolution of Bangladesh's textile and apparel sector, drawing widespread acclaim from stakeholders across the globe.

The Grand Opening Ceremony on 25th June was a vibrant celebration attended by distinguished dignitaries, trade associations, international exhibitors, and bilateral chambers. The ceremony began with a welcome address by Ms. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director of Worldex India. Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, served as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), was the Guest of Honour. The gathering also heard addresses from key industry leaders, including Mr. Amal Poddar (Sr. Vice President, BKMEA), Mr. Faisal Samad (Sr. Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. A.K.M. Saifur Rahman (Vice President, BGBA), and Mr. Murali Balkrishna (Joint Director, TEXPROCIL). Presidents of vital bilateral organisations such as LABCCI, KBCCI, BGCCI, and USBCCI were also in attendance. The formal proceedings concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, felicitation, group photography, a VIP tour, and closing remarks from Mr. Rajesh Bhagat, Chairman & MD of Worldex India.
This year's edition hosted exhibitors from over 10 countries including India, China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Germany, and Bangladesh. They showcased a diverse selection of textile innovations—ranging from sustainable yarns and performance fabrics to trims, denim, knits, digital prints, and accessories. The robust participation of Bangladeshi companies highlighted the nation's rising stature as a trusted global sourcing hub.
