One day National Seminar on "Magnification of Insurance Penetration and Density in India: Role of Insurance Sector, held on 7th May 2025. Mysore Insurance Institute organised the seminar with JSS College for Arts, Commerce and Science.

Dr N Nagaraj, Registrar (Evaluation) of the University of Mysore, kicked off the seminar with his erudite inaugural address. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the need for insurance awareness and insisted on including insurance education in the university curriculum. He requested the college authorities to start Insurance-related topics in the syllabus and emphasized the need for more Research.

Prof B Chandrashekara, joint Director & Professor of the Department of Collegiate Education, Mysore Region, spoke about the University's challenges in implementing Insurance courses.

He requested the college authorities to discuss this with the insurance institute and bring suitable study courses.
