As Uttar Pradesh marches towards its vision of a $1 trillion dollar economy, Tarai, Kashi Kshetra and Purvanchal are propelling it forward with gusto. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been at the helm of a revolutionary transformation in these regions, driven by upgraded industry and infrastructure.

Key Districts: Bahraich, Balrampur, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Pilibhit, Shravasti, and Siddharthnagar.

Connectivity:

Rs 4000 crore is allocated to upgrade Barabanki-Bahraich Highway to a four-lane digital highway with 50 CCTV cameras, reducing travel time to Lucknow.

Rs 816 crore is allocated to improve the rural road network under the PM Gram Sadak Yojana.

While inaugurating the Azamgarh-Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "Uttar Pradesh is redefining itself from a 'BIMARU State' to the 'Expressway State'!"

Industry:

Gorakhpur's MSME clusters have attracted brands like Adani Group and PepsiCo.

The district received 144 investment proposals worth Rs 1.71 lakh crore at the Global Investors Summit 2023.

Dhuriyapar Industrial Township is being developed over 5,500 acres, akin to Greater Noida.

Urban Renewal:

The 'Power for All' initiative has brought 24x7 electricity to both urban and rural homes.

Rooftop solar installations and solar parks are reducing Tarai's carbon footprint.

Healthcare:

BRD Medical College and AIIMS have made Gorakhpur a healthcare epicentre.

CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Maharajganj's first PPP model institute, KMC Medical College and Hospital.
