Kosmos Energy has kicked off 2025 with renewed strategic focus in Ghana's upstream sector, playing a pivotal role in two major developments at the flagship Jubilee field.

While UK-based Tullow Oil remains the field operator, Kosmos—one of the key stakeholders—has been instrumental in delivering a new 4D seismic survey and preparing for a fresh wave of drilling, signaling strong upstream momentum in one of West Africa's most mature deepwater assets.

In its Q1 2025 update, Kosmos Chairman and CEO Andy Inglis described a "busy start to the year," spotlighting the completion of the first 4D seismic survey over Jubilee in nearly a decade. "That data is now being processed using state-of-the-art algorithms," Inglis said. The advanced imaging is expected to significantly enhance reservoir modeling and optimize future infill drilling campaigns.

Combined with AI-supported production optimization, the new 4D seismic insights are expected to allow the partnership to high-grade drilling locations and adopt smarter reservoir management strategies. The objective is clear: extend Jubilee's productive life while improving recovery and maximizing value across the asset.
