In a year marked by external pressures, KFC India has demonstrated remarkable resilience. Despite a 6.4% drop in average daily sales per store-down to Rs.94,000 in FY25 from Rs.1.05 lakh the previous year the brand posted a gross profit of Rs.1,500 crore, up from Rs.1,420 crore in FY24. The downturn in store-level performance was primarily linked to disruptions caused by avian flu in select regions and geopolitical headwinds.

Still, the company's topline held firm. Revenue for FY25 stood at Rs.2,178.7 crore, reflecting a 6.6% increase yearon-year. Parent company Devyani International Limited (DIL), which operates KFC India, attributed this resilience to a combination of disruptive pricing strategies and an aggressive multi-channel presence.

The company is betting on strategic outreach to Gen Z to recover ground and fuel future growth. "KFC's strong appeal among Gen Z is central to its growth strategy," the annual report highlighted, noting its focus on digital campaigns, influencer partnerships, and flavor-forward innovation such as nationally and internationally inspired roll variants.
