UK to ask Norway for fish exports to help ailing fish and chip shops

The UK‘s National Federation of Fish Friers is appealing to Norway to send fish fillets to that country to moderate the rapidly increasing price of fried fish.

The UK’s National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) has announced that it will request that Norway export fish fillets to the country in order to bring down the skyrocketing price of fried fish in the country.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict and rising energy costs have increased the prices of cooking oil, potatoes and fish, causing fish and chip shops across the UK to send out the call for help to Norway, Sky News reported.
