Power Demand to Shoot Up, Rural Areas to Face Cuts

The demand for power is going to shoot up by 2,5003,000 megawatts within a fortnight as Ramadan, the fasting month for the Muslims, will overlap the current irrigation season for the boro rice cultivation, said Power Division officials.
