BACKGROUND The 787-8 aircraft is configured with 186 seats across two cabins: JAL Sky Suite (Business Class), and JAL Sky Wider (Economy). The aircraft features wider cabins and higher ceilings, compared with those of conventional medium-sized aircraft. With humidity and air pressure settings which can be adjusted to a level for your comfort.

CHECK-IN My departure was from Kempegowda International airport, Bengaluru, Terminal 1. There was almost no line at the separate check-in counter designated for Business Class passengers. I kept my Covid-19 vaccination certificates handy and the check-in process was swift and hassle-free.

BOARDING Boarding happened promptly and on time. The crew greeting the passengers were wearing face masks and it was reassuring to see such protocol maintained. I was kindly shown my seat by a member of the cabin crew and instantly felt at ease due to the spacious arrangement of the seats.
