BRIEF HISTORY of Apache

The journey of the TVS Apache series began in 2005 with the launch of the pioneering TVS Apache 150, a motorcycle that reshaped India's sports bike segment with its race-inspired design and sharp performance.

This momentum continued in 2006 with the introduction of the TVS Apache RTR 160, debuting the now-iconic Racing Throttle Response concept that soon became a dominant force on INMRC racetracks. By 2008, TVS pushed boundaries again with the TVS Apache RTR 160 Fi, the first 160cc machine to feature Race-Tuned Fuel Injection. Innovation accelerated in 2011 when the TVS Apache RTR 180 became India's first motorcycle equipped with Dual Channel ABS, setting new standards for rider safety. In 2015, TVS Racing marked another milestone with its first-ever Dakar Rally participation, reinforcing the brand's racing DNA. The lineup evolved further in 2016 with the muscular TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, the most powerful TVS Apache RTR yet, followed by the arrival of the brand's first supersport, the TVS Apache RR 310, in 2017, co-developed with BMW Motorrad and packed with advanced aerodynamics and technology. The racing pedigree deepened in 2018 with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, born from a six-time INMRC-winning engine. In 2021, TVS introduced India’s first factory-customization platform, Built to Order (BTO), enabling TVS Apache RR 310 owners to personalize their machines with performance kits and exclusive race graphics.
