There's a game farm in the foothills of the Waterberg mountains with a water playground that will keep your brood busy for days.
The many water slides peek out from above the Bushveld trees from the moment you enter Lethabong Lodge.Water slides aren’t unusual, of course, but when you stop at your stand next to the water park and are able to view it in its full glory, you realise that this is a playground with a difference – and heaven on earth for kids. They can play to their heart’s content from 09:00 to 18:00 every day.
The water park is approximately 75 x 50 m in size and houses all kinds of aquatic games and other delights. The most exciting are probably the three slides on top of the small building that also houses the first-aid room. Two of the body slides are open, while the other is a tube body slide. All three spit you out into a large pool with varying depth: it’s deeper where you land, while the rest of the pool is barely half a metre deep and is therefore suitable for smaller children. Next to these body slides, but much lower, are two squared slides that are wide enough to ride on a tube (find them on the opposite side of the park).
Next to those is a lower, shorter slide for the little ones. And when you’re done sliding, you can quickly take a shower: on the shallower end are two buckets that tip over as soon as they fill up.
Other than the pool with the slides, there are two more swimming pools where things are a bit calmer: one for toddlers and a bigger and deeper one for those who can swim. The larger pool has four built-in cement loungers on which you can relax with only your head above the water.
