This leads to introduction of a wide variety of products, lower delivery time, shorter production batches, shorter product lifespan, shortened new product development cycles and a need for adoptive and high-skilled manpower. To remain competitive, manufacturers must change their manufacturing approach by not just upgrading the product quality and manufacturing efficiency but also adapting to the changing situations by embracing technological advancements, flexible manufacturing assets, multiskilling, and a focus on sustainability.
