Marc Márquez Continues Ducati's Mugello Winning Streak
Bike India
|July 2025
Marc Márquez managed to fend off a titanic early tussle to win to Ducati's home turf
THE TWO-TIME PREMIER class champion, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), has had a pretty good record on Ducati's home turf at Mugello, winning the last three Italian Grands Prix held there. Heading into the 2025 edition, he was tipped to be a serious contender to continue that winning streak. However, it was his teammate and six-time premier class champion, Marc Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), who managed to edge ahead for pole position. Lining up third was Alex Márquez (Gresini Racing).
SprintDRAMA ENSUED AT THE START AS A poor launch saw Marc Márquez lose the lead which left Bagnaia and Alex Márquez in the leading positions. Despite that setback, it only took two laps before Marc was back among the top three and took another two laps to get back into the lead and pull off a commanding win. Alex Márquez had to settle for second with Bagnaia finishing in third position.
RaceTHE SPRINT WAS JUST AN appetiser for what we were about to witness in the main Grand Prix and, safe to say, the fans were entertained early on. It started with Bagnaia muscling his way past Márquez in the early corners and we were treated to a battle of world champions that was long overdue for the entire season.

FIRST-EVER E-MOTORCYCLE BY HONDA
Honda's launch of the WN7, its first-ever production electric motorcycle, is not only big news for the company but also big news for motorcycling. We have seen excellent scooter-style electric bikes from BMW and other manufacturers. We have also seen specialist electric bikes from smaller brands like Zero, Livewire, and Can-am. But this is the first time Honda, the largest player in the market, has put a fully electric motorcycle into mass production. Furthermore, it will be available at regular dealerships, not specialised stores
