Racing gods summoned

India is a land of gods but the racing gods haven't blessed us often. The Indian Racing Festival attempts to change this with the promise of celebrating racing. Om Shukla tells you about it

The 2024 season of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) was the most grand one yet. The presence of multiple celebrity owners like John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya have been the driving force behind the rising hype for Indian motorsports. We were present for the fifth round of the IRF which was the final deciding round for the multiple categories of racing it features. These categories include the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship, the Indian Racing League (IRL), the JK Tyre-FMSCI National Racing Championship and the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, with vehicles in the first three being run on four wheels and the last on two. The IRL and FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship are held by Racing Promotions Pvt.
