There's a majesty about JLR vehicles that I've always loved. It's one of those things that are almost expected, thanks to the British having a controlling interest in snobbery (arguably). That's the kind of aristocratic feel the Defender has in troves, and when I heard the V8-powered version was coming to the office, I was curious. Not because I hadn't heard of it or not been behind the wheel of a V8, but because I was curious about its differentiating factor from the full-fat Defender Octa. The important thing to note here is that the P425 V8 came earlier this year, as an alternative to the P525 powertrain, which had a higher power and torque output.
