Hardcore 2025 Ferrari 296 Speciale revealed

Ferrari’s next lightweight supercar will arrive in both coupé and open-top Aperta forms

FERRARI is revisiting past successes with a new, lightweight iteration of its ‘entry’ mid-engined 296. The hardcore Speciale is said to be lighter, more focused and more intense than the already vivid 296 GTB and 295 GTS, and will reach customers in early 2026, costing around £350,000.

The new Speciale will be available from launch in both coupé and open-top forms, the latter carrying the traditional ‘A’ modifier on its name. There's little difference between the two when it comes to specification, although some of the 60kg weight saving over standard cars on the coupé is slightly offset on the A thanks to the folding roof mechanism.
