CEAT Mining Tyres

With the launch of ROCKRAD, CEAT expands its radial portfolio into the mining sector, offering a tyre designed for high durability and reliable performance in tough operating environments, writes Niharika Singh

India's mining sector is gradually evolving, with increasing focus on durability, safety, and operational efficiency under challenging conditions. In response to these demands, Mumbai-based tyre manufacturer CEAT has introduced ROCKRAD, its first radial tyre designed for mining applications.

Launched on July 31, 2025, the ROCKRAD tyre is intended for use in off-highway, mining, and rough terrain operations. This addition expands CEAT's Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) range into a segment traditionally served by bias-ply tyres. The tyre features updated materials and a revised tread pattern to meet the performance requirements of heavy-duty mining environments, where structural reliability and wear resistance are critical.
