Project: Terra Interiors Experience Center, Gurugram; Architects: The Picturesque Studio With distinctly designed kitchen exhibits and walk-in closets, this new experience centre immerses the customer in each setup while also displaying new technological innovations

Text by: Sadhya Bhatnagar T "he brand new retail outlet and experience centre of Terra Interiors, a manufacturer and retailer of bespoke millwork and modular furniture, is located in Gurugram's Plaza Mall. The 5,200 sq ft showroom is designed to provide customers with an exclusive experience of the range of kitchens and wardrobes the brand offers. The space is intended to display a wide variety of design settings without causing visual overload for the visitor.

As the outlet is located inside a mall, wooden slats were installed in front of the expansive glass displays overlooking the mall atrium to create optimum privacy. These slats are positioned diagonally, such that they conceal the showroom behind, while at the right angle, also display the engraved brand name. The experience centre is split into three major zones: the reception area, the main showroom, and workspaces for the staff.

Priya Doon started The Picturesque Studio in 2017. The designer believes in creating aesthetically stunning, luxurious interiors and exteriors, keeping in mind the clients’ unique design preferences. “We translate their personalities, lifestyles, and individual characteristics into design concepts which give each space its own distinctive character,” says the designer. The Picturesque interiors are a combination of exceptional design, outstanding materials, and excellent craftsmanship.
