A Trip Down the Memory Lane

Anniversary Special 2023

|

Architecture + Design

Architecture+Design was the brainchild of legendary architect, urbanist, and educator CP Kukreja. In fact, the initial few editions of the magazine were churned out from his office. In a candid conversation with his son, architect Dikshu Kukreja reminisces about the journey of Architecture+Design—from its inception to now!

A Trip Down the Memory Lane

The best stories are often serendipitous. It was during one of our conversations with Architect Dikshu Kukreja that he mentioned that Architecture+Design was conceptualised by his father, Architect CP Kukreja. We couldn’t believe how opportune the moment was! Dikshu reminisced about how, as a child, he would watch his father discuss the need of a magazine of this nature with his contemporaries, and how invested he was in this idea. The conversation was an interesting trip down the memory lane…

Here’s an excerpt...

Seema Sreedharan: Architecture + Design is celebrating its 40th year in the industry. The magazine comes with such a strong legacy that, at times, I feel overwhelmed. I believe it was initiated by your father CP Kukreja. You’ve been witness to the journey.
