OBJECTRY, NEW DELHI

Objectry's creative signature is a sense of enduring whimsy. The Delhi-based brand by Aanchal Goel has an innately charming visual sensibility-it is fun, playful and incredibly chic all at once. Interestingly enough, this apparent effortlessness is belied by Goel's disciplined, methodical approach to design. "The brand comes from careful restraint," she says. "Objectry doesn't demand your attention, but once it has captured it, it's likely to hold it. In the distracted way we all operate these days, it's hard to create a product that truly draws focus, and I feel Objectry does that."

A studio of 5,000 square feet in the heart of South Delhi houses Objectry's workspace, manufacturing facility and retail storefront. Goel, for whom attention to detail is almost sacrosanct, says, "I find it imperative to see a design through during its initial stage of prototyping, so if something needs to be tweaked or altered, I make myself available at the disposal of this new object." Her team of carpenters is tight but trusty and has been with her from the very start of her brand.
