DEAR YR

Hi! I love horses and pretty much anything horse related.

I haven't even had a YR subscription for a year yet, but I'm way beyond obsessed. Every time it comes in the mail, I grab it and don't lift my head until I'm done reading and looking at it. I have two horses, a 17-year-old bay Thoroughbred gelding named Ben and an approximately 25-year-old Haflinger mare named Comet. They are inseparable! You might think I live in New York City, so how can I have horses and ride? But I live in Western New York, which is just rolling hills and a small town/little city. I have been taking lessons and riding for the past four years and just started 4-H. My favorite part of YR is definitely Dear YR, but I also like the Art Gallery, Me & My Horse, and Fergus. I was wondering if you could do a breed spotlight on the Haflinger, give tips for a horse that doesn't really turn well with a pull on the reins (Comet), and some horse-related jobs for when you are older. Anyway, thank you for the best magazine EVER!
