Staring down at my phone, I chuckled to myself and swiped left to get rid of yet another profile with a photo of a topless man, proudly carrying a fish he’d just caught. It was April 2018 and I’d been using the dating app, Tinder, for the past seven months. After coming out of a 20-year marriage a year earlier and now in my 50s, I just wanted to have a bit of fun and meet new, interesting people.
