NOT only is he one of the men behind South Africa’s iconic gospel choir, Joyous Celebration, but Pastor Jabu Hlongwane is also a gospel artist who is a force to be reckoned with. He has had the pleasure of not only being a shepherd to his own biological children but to the many gospel artists, especially choir members, who have sought refuge under his wealth of experience in the music industry.

A PLEASURE TO LEAD

Pastor Jabu says leading and being a good example are attributes he takes to heart.

“It is my responsibility to help younger people, whether in Joyous Celebration or not, to become the best they can be. I would have failed them if I were to stop guiding, loving and supporting them,” he says.
