In 2013, The Railroad’s own Bill O’Leary was named CEO, becoming the first lifelong Alaskan to lead the Railroad. For more than 90 years, the Alaska Railroad has connected travelers with many of Alaska’s most popular destinations. Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, is the hub for the Alaska Railroad’s passenger service. The railroad also offers freight services.
