Looking for a sports watch with a little bit of Finnish flair? Suunto's 5 Peak offers a good tracking experience on the whole, with over 80 sports covered.

Suunto's adaptive training guidance, which looks at the intensity and duration of your workouts and creates weekly training plans, is great for newbies. You'll need to use the app for a lot of the navigation features, but the watch's own real-time breadcrumb trails should get you home.

The fitness-tracking features are standard fare, including steps and calories burned. We found real-time heart-rate readings to be a little high, which makes it hard to trust the stress readings and breakdown of your body's daily resource levels, but the sleep duration data seemed reliable.
