A Boater's Work Is Never Done

John tackles the long list of jobs he needs to do on his boat before taking her out of hibernation.

Throughout the recent autumn/winter season, my Fairline Squadron 78, Match II, was kept in commission as is common in the Med, and was ‘exercised’ with a short trip out each month.

She underwent the usual maintenance and cleaning regime, and I worked through a jobs list which was long but not too arduous. Inevitably new things were added faster than old ones were crossed off and occasionally, I even added something that had already been done just for the pleasure of immediately crossing it off!
