India claimed a fifth successive win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India got the job done against New Zealand at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. New Zealand rode on solid knocks from Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell, who shared a record 159run stand for the third wicket. Mitchell’s heroics made the difference as he smashed a solid 130. For India, speedster Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers. He claimed 5/54 from his 10 overs. In response, Indian openers added 71 runs before both players departed (76/2). Gill has raced to 2012 runs at 62.87. He has six tons and 10 half-centuries. He is also the first to 1300-plus runs (ODIs) in 2023. He owns 1325 runs at 66.25.
