The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to get underway in the UAE from September 19. A total of 60 matches will be played at three venues across 53 days, with the final set to be held on November 10. Back in 2014, only 20 matches were played in the UAE, before the tournament shifted back to India following the conclusion of the General Elections. In this feature, we will tell you all about the three stadiums in the UAE that will host the IPL 2020 matches.

1. DUBAI CRICKET STADIUM

Established in 2009, the Dubai Cricket Stadium has a capacity of 25,000, which can be expanded up to 30,000, and is part of the Dubai Sports City. The stadium hosted seven IPL matches in 20 14 and, barring a couple, most were low-scoring encounters. The first IPL match at this venue was played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. MI were rolled over for 115 as RCB easily won by seven wickets.
